Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Our staff meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and escorts you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After arrival, the team helps you with the hotel check-in. Once you are in your room, you can relax and take time to recover from your travels. If you wish, you may also visit our office to learn more about the trip and ask any questions.

Day 02: Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu

After breakfast, the day begins with a guided sightseeing tour using a private vehicle. A knowledgeable guide accompanies you and shares stories, history, and local facts as you visit some of the most important heritage sites in Kathmandu.

A. Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)
Swayambhunath sits on a hill above the city and is commonly known as the Monkey Temple. The area is home to a large stupa and many monkeys. From the top, you can enjoy quiet views over Kathmandu while watching monks and visitors walk around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels.

B. Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath is one of the holiest Hindu temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is located beside the Bagmati River. The temple is known for its golden pagoda-style roofs and four main gates. Visitors can observe religious ceremonies, daily rituals, and festival activities around the temple area.

C. Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur Durbar Square once served as the royal center of ancient kings. The square is filled with historic temples, palaces, and stone statues. You visit major landmarks such as the 55-Window Palace, Nyatapole Temple, Golden Lion’s Gate, and Vatsala Temple. Walking through the area, you experience traditional Newari design and local daily life.

D. Swayambhu Stupa / Monkey Temple:
Located on a small hill, Swayambhu offers a wide view of the Kathmandu Valley. It is also called the Monkey Temple because many monkeys live around the stupa. This site is very important to both Buddhists and Hindus.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola(900m/2953 fts/155km)

The drive to Machha Khola covers 155 km and takes you around 7 to 8 hours, following the Prithvi Highway beside the Trishuli River. Along the way, you can stop at Jyamire for lunch or take short breaks to enjoy views of Ganesh Himal, forests, and small roadside villages. After Dhading Besi, the road turns gravelly and continues through Arughat, Arkhet, and Soti Khola. After you reach Machha Khola, you settle into a quiet riverside lodge for the night.

Day 04: Trek from Machha khola to Jagat(1410m/4626ft)

Day begins with a trekking through a suspension bridge that takes you toward Khorlabesi before the trail rises gently to Tatopani. It is a small village with a hot spring where you can rest for a moment before moving. From here, the path continues beside the Budhi Gandaki River until you reach Dobhan, the ideal place to stop for lunch. After a short break at Dobhan, the route heads through Yuru Khola, and the final 22.2 km, 6 to 7 hour journey ends at Jagat, a quiet stone-built village with views of Shringi Himal.

Day 05: Trek from Jagat to Lokpa(2040m/6692 ft)

Covering 17 km in 5 to 6 hours, the route moves gently uphill along the Budhi Gandaki River. You can stop at Salleri for tea and enjoy views of the small village. About 3 km later, you reach Philim, which is a perfect place for lunch and exploring its monastery, shops, and Gurung culture. After that you pass Chisapani, where the path moves towards a cliff and crosses a suspension bridge, revealing clear views of Ganesh Himal and Shringi Himal. You reach Lokpa in the evening, it’s a place where you can experience culture, visit temples, and mani walls.

Day 06: Trek from Lokpa to Chumling (2386m/7828ft)

The journey from Lokpa climbs steeply to Sardi Danda, taking about 5 to 6 hours to cover 8 to 9 km, where the slopes and rivers give you a peaceful view. From there, the trail descends for around 2 hours over 3 km until Chumling, a quiet village with 10 to 15 houses. You can visit the small monastery, explore the local Gumba, and see the micro hydropower station. A nearby viewpoint offers wide views of Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and the surrounding valleys, giving a serene experience of Tsum Valley life.

Day 07: Trek from Chumling to Chhokung Paro(3031m/9944 ft)

From Chumling, the route climbs gradually for about 11 km in 4 to 5 hours to reach Chhokung Paro. You can stop at small rest points and observe local farming activities and traditional houses along the route. Chhokung Paro is a village with basic teahouses where you can rest and enjoy local meals. A nearby monastery and mani walls offer insight into the Tibetan Buddhist culture of the area. Views of surrounding mountains and the Budi Gandaki River can be seen from several points on the way to Chhokung Paro.

Day 08: Trek from Chhokung village to Nile (3361m/11026fts)

After about 4 to 5 hours over 11 km, you reach the Nile from Chhokung Paro. The Nile is a quiet village with 15 to 20 traditional houses where you can explore local life and visit a monastery. From a viewpoint near the village, you can see Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Churke Himal, Kipu Himal, Tara Himal, and Pashuwo Himal. This is a good place to experience culture and observe mountain landscapes closely.

Day 09: Acclimatization day and detour to Mu Gompa(3700m/12139ft)

Nile is the base for an acclimatization detour to Mugu Gompa. To cover this round trip it takes around 3 to 4 hours to cover 8 km. At the monastery, you can explore old structures and watch monks performing Buddhist rituals. Nearby viewpoints offer views of surrounding mountains and valleys. Walking around the monastery and village allows you to experience local culture, see traditional houses, and capture Himalayan landscapes before returning to the Nile for the night.

Day 10:Trek from Nile to Chhokung Paro (3031m/9944 fts)

Route from the Nile to Chhokung Paro takes 3 to 4 hours to cover 6 km. You can stop at small viewpoints to observe the Budhi Gandaki River and surrounding villages. Chhokung Paro has a few teahouses where you can rest and enjoy local meals. Around the village, mani walls and a small monastery provide insight into Tibetan Buddhist culture. This stop also offers a chance to interact with local residents and capture views of nearby mountains.

Day 11: Trek from Chhokung paro to Gumba Lung Dang (3240m/10629 fts)

It takes about 3 to 4 hours to cover 6 km to reach Gumba Lung Dang Chhokung Paro. The village has traditional houses and a small monastery where you can see monks and prayer rituals. You can enjoy views of the nearby mountains and valleys and take photos. While walking around the village, you get a chance to meet locals and experience everyday life in Gumba Lung Dang.

Day 12: Trek from Gumba Lung dang to Philim/1500/4920 ft)

The journey to Philim covers 12 km in about 3 to 4 hours heading towards downhill. You can stop at viewpoints to enjoy wide mountain and river views along the Budi Gandaki. Philim is a lively village with small shops, teahouses, and a local checkpoint. Here, you can rest, have lunch, and explore the village streets. The surrounding fields and rivers make for peaceful walks and great photo opportunities before settling in for the night.
